Job Title: Community Manager (Part-Time)

Summary:
Are you a passionate student looking for a meaningful part-time work in the venture capital industry? Join our team at Firsthand Alliance, an early-stage VC firm based in New York City focused on investing in transformative intelligent software companies.  The founding partner is a serial entrepreneur who has sold the latest AI company to Salesforce.

As a Community Manager, you will play a vital role in nurturing and facilitating our exclusive community of over 100 accomplished entrepreneurs and CXOs of public and high-growth private companies.  This is an opportunity to gain valuable experience in community building, event management, and communications while making a real connections with high-profile individuals and the broader entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Responsibilities:

1. Assist in developing and executing a comprehensive community engagement strategy to foster meaningful connections and collaboration among our members.

2. Help manage and curate online and offline community events, including webinar, networking receptions, and thought leadership interviews. We host events in New York City and San Francisco, as well as maintaining an active online community.

3. Assist in identifying and cultivating relationships with key influencers and thought leaders in the technology and business communities.

4. Create and help distribute high-quality content, including newsletters, blog posts, and social media updates, to keep our community informed and engaged.

5. Utilize community management tools and platforms to track engagement metrics and measure the impact of community initiatives.

6. Collaborate closely with the investment team to identify opportunities for portfolio companies to leverage the community for business development and growth.

Qualifications:

Currently or recently enrolled as a full-time undergraduate or graduate student at an accredited university.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with people from diverse backgrounds and levels of expertise.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a knack for creating engaging and informative content.

Passion for technology and entrepreneurship, with a basic understanding of the challenges and opportunities faced by early-stage companies.
